Questward, by ELU LABS, LLC · Last updated August 19, 2026
The short version. Questward has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server. It makes no network requests of any kind. Everything you put into it stays in the app’s own storage on your iPhone. We do not receive your data, because there is nowhere for it to go.
What Questward stores
Everything the app knows about you lives in its private storage on your device:
- Your quests — titles, notes, difficulty, durations and schedules.
- Your Life Paths, their XP and their levels.
- Your daily quest logs and the history of days you’ve completed.
- Your character level, total XP and streaks.
- Your settings, such as reminder times and daily intensity.
None of it is transmitted, backed up to us, or shared. If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your iPhone, your app data may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup — that is between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.
What leaves your device
Nothing. Questward contains no networking code — no analytics service, no crash reporter, no remote configuration, no advertising, and no calls to any API of ours or anyone else’s. The app functions identically in airplane mode.
Reminders
If you turn on the morning, Main Quest, or evening reminder, those notifications are scheduled by iOS on your device. There is no push server involved and no notification content is sent anywhere. Reminders are off until you enable them, and you can turn any of them off individually at any time.
The Home Screen widget
The widget reads a small summary — your Main Quest title, how many quests are done, XP earned today and your level — from a shared container on your device that only Questward and its own widget can open. Like everything else, it never leaves your iPhone.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. Questward contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party code of any kind. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
Apple provides us with aggregate, anonymous App Store statistics such as download, retention and crash counts. We cannot identify individual users from these, and they are the only information we ever see.
Purchases
Questward is free and contains no in-app purchases. If that changes in a future version, any transaction would be handled entirely by Apple, and we would never see your payment details or Apple Account information.
Who else is involved
Apple — distributes the app. That is the entire list. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, for any purpose, because we never receive it.
Your choices
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is no account to close and no server-side data to request or erase. Deleting Questward removes every quest, path and record it created, permanently and immediately.
Children
Questward is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, this is mostly a formality.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the date at the top of this page and describe the change in the app’s release notes.
