Pinochle scoring without the pencil.
Something not working, a score that came out wrong, or a house rule PinScore does not cover? Email hello@elulabs.com and you’ll hear back within two business days. For a scoring question, the bid, both melds, and both counter totals tell us everything we need.
Someone called out the wrong number
Every hand on the scoreboard has an Edit button. Tap it, change the number, and save — the totals for the whole game are worked out again from scratch. Undo Last Hand removes the most recent one, and Delete Hand removes any of them after asking first.
The scores do not match how we play
Open Game Rules, from Settings for new games or from the Game menu during one. Three presets cover the common conventions:
Double Deck — game to 500, 50 counters in a hand, bidding from 50. The default.
Single Deck — game to 150, 25 counters, bidding from 20.
Single Deck (×10 count) — game to 1500, 250 counters, bidding from 250.
Under Advanced you can change the winning score, what a set costs, whether a team needs a counter to keep its meld, and whether the bidding team takes it when both sides pass the target on the same hand. Changing the rules mid-game recalculates that game straight away.
Free games and the unlock
Three complete games are included. Only games you finish and save count — hands do not, and a game you abandon does not. After the third, starting a new game asks for a one-time $4.99 purchase. There is no subscription.
A game already on the table can always be finished, and everything you have already saved stays readable whether or not you buy.
Restoring a purchase
New iPhone, or the unlock is not showing? Open Settings inside PinScore and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
Where my games are kept
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. PinScore has no account and no server. That also means deleting the app deletes your score sheets for good — see the privacy policy.
Making it easier to read
PinScore follows the text size set in iOS Settings › Display & Brightness › Text Size, including the larger accessibility sizes, and it works with VoiceOver. If something is still hard to read, tell us which screen — that is the kind of message we act on quickly.
A house rule we do not have
Pinochle is played a dozen ways and we would rather cover yours than argue about it. Write down how your group scores it and send it over.
